It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to serve as your OB-GYN physician. After 35 years, I have decided to retire from office practice.
I sincerely appreciate the trust and confidence you have placed in me throughout the years. Delivering babies and caring for women through all stages of life has held a very special place in my heart.
DeKalb Women's Specialists will permanently close on July 31, 2026. After this date, I will no longer be available to provide medical care, refill prescriptions, or respond to medical inquiries. The Decatur office will no longer be accessible.
You will need to make requests to your new medical provider.
Your medical records will be transferred on August 1st to Dr. Mercy Amua-Quarshie. Dr. Mercy will be establishing a new practice, Tri-County Women's Specialists, located in the Dunwoody area. You can request them by calling telephone 404-508-2000.
Dr. Mercy has been my trusted associate physician for many years, and she will be starting a new OB/Gyn practice. She is an excellent OB/Gyn physician with many years of experience. I highly recommend her. Another option for your care would be to contact your health-insurance company, your local hospital physician referral service or another healthcare provider of your choice. If you transition to another provider, you can request transfer of your records to another practice by completing an authorization for release of medical records form located at www.dekalbwomen.com.
